We offer a variety of unplanned pregnancy medical services at no cost to you: pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STI testing and referrals.

Pregnancy Tests

If you have had unprotected sex and think you might be pregnant, we are your first step. Willow Womens Center will provide you with pregnancy testing services at no cost to you.

Pregnancy tests are most accurate when taken between 28 to 31 days after the first day of your last period. A pregnancy test detects the hormone known as hCG, which is found in the urine of women who are pregnant. One of our licensed medical staff members will administer the test and discuss your results with you immediately following the test.

Additionally, if you have had unprotected sex, you might be at risk for an STD/STI. A Sexually Transmitted Infection can cause serious harm to you and your pregnancy if left untreated. We offer STI testing services for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea if you have a positive pregnancy test and can provide you with referrals for any other testing you may need.

Ultrasounds

Once your pregnancy has been confirmed through one of our medical-grade pregnancy tests, your next step is to get an ultrasound (also done at no cost to you!)

An ultrasound can tell you how far along you are, detect a fetal heartbeat and determine the location of the pregnancy. If your pregnancy develops in your fallopian tubes, this is called an ectopic pregnancy and can be life-threatening.

An ultrasound may also help determine the risk that you might miscarry: 20% of all pregnancies do not carry to term and 80% of all miscarriages happen in the first trimester (first 13 weeks.) If it is determined that you are at risk for a miscarriage or have an ectopic pregnancy, you may not need to have an abortion; rather, you would need to seek prompt medical attention.

When you make an appointment with us, our medical team can provide you the information you need and answer any questions you might have.

Referrals
