We recognize that there are no free medical services for women who are facing an unexpected pregnancy in Walworth County, so we are bringing our services there. Each Tuesday, Willow Womens Center will bring our mobile ultrasound unit to Walworth County. By doing this, we can help women answer these questions before making an educated decision about their pregnancy:

Am I really pregnant?

A pregnancy test is not always conclusive. The test works by responding to a hormone your body releases when you are pregnant called HCG. Approximately 20% of all pregnancies end in natural miscarriage. Although your HCG levels may still be high enough to give a positive pregnancy test result, you might not have a viable pregnancy. Ultrasound is the earliest means of detecting a viable pregnancy and determining your gestational age. Willow Womens Center provides ultrasound services at no cost to you.

How far along am I?

The gestational age of your pregnancy will determine the type and cost of the abortion procedure you would be eligible to receive. During your visit, you will receive an ultrasound to determine this information so you can move forward with all the applicable information needed to make an informed decision.

Do I have an STI?

Because abortion is invasive, it is important to consider your future reproductive health. If you have an STI, it may travel through your cervix during an abortion which may cause PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease). PID is not only painful but could cause future infertility issues. We test for the two most common and treatable STI’s — at no charge to you. Many abortion providers do not offer this service prior to your abortion.

Now what?

Our team cares about you and is committed to providing information in a non-judgmental environment.

Let’s talk about your 3 options:

Abortion ends the pregnancy. There are several abortion methods, depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy. We will give you clear, accurate information on the different procedures.

Parenting means letting your pregnancy go full-term. We strive to answer your questions on what this means for you and will offer information about resources available to you. We have referrals to community resources to help you with material support, as well as education to prepare you for parenting.

Adoption is a way of giving your child a loving home by placing the responsibility in the hands of others. You may decide that abortion isn’t right for you, but you are also not ready to be a parent, either. Adoption may be the right option for you.

At Willow Womens Center, your health and well-being come first. Make an appointment for a consultation and the free pregnancy test/ultrasound and let us help you consider all your options. YOU ARE OUR TOP PRIORITY.
